Flying in our Cessna is an awesome way to enjoy the beauty of Kauai. This small plane can comfortably carry the two of you, one in the front co-pilot seat, and the other behind. The views are stellar, and you don’t miss a thing from the wide windows.
We require two seats when you book the plane, and it is always a private tour. This very affordable privacy allows for individual communication with your pilot and with each other, or you can just relax into the peacefulness of an extraordinary experience.
This plane can carry three persons if you want to bring another, the same weight restrictions will apply.
So sorry but our seats cannot carry a passenger over 280 lbs. Our AirVan can carry more weight, this Cessna is smaller. The total passenger weight for the two or three of you needs to be under 525 lbs for safe flying. So please verify your weight before booking. It is important that your total weight for your party is under 525 lbs when you check in and weigh here because we have balanced the weight and fuel accordingly. Mahalo for your understanding.
If you are two adults with a child under 3 years of age booking the Cessna, please just go ahead and book this plane online for the two adults. After you receive your confirmation then write back to us to let us know the name, age and weight of your child so we can arrange the fuel accordingly. At approximately 65 minutes, this is the ultimate air tour of the Garden Isle.
Tour Route
- Starting in Lihue, you first see Kipu Kai, the beach made famous by Harrison Ford’s 6 Days and 7 Nights.
- Travel on to see the famous Jurassic Park waterfall in the beautiful Hanapepe Valley (weather permitting).
- Soar over the vast Waimea Canyon, the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific,” as well as the famous Na Pali Coastline.
- Finish off with the lovely Hanalei Bay before heading back to the Lihue Airport.
- The additional time also allows us to show you the numerous waterfalls of the Hanalei Valley as well as the crater below Kauai’s Mt. Waiale’ale.
- In winter months, whale watching may be feasible. Our tours can also feature customizable routes, with an expert agricultural narrative (exclusively offered by Wings Over Kauai), and a complimentary Kauaian gift.

Every seat is a window seat on our Cessna! And we love our G8 AirVan, our new touring plane from Australia. It can comfortably seat six passengers plus the pilot. There are no middle seats; every seat has large bubble windows for unobstructed views of Kauai.

We love to take children up with us! We have traveled extensively in small planes with our two kids, from infancy to adulthood, and they have always loved it!

Children under 24 months can sit on your lap free of charge. Children 2 to 3 years of age must be given a seat, but still, we don’t charge for them. Sorry, we cannot give away two free seats on a tour, if you have one infant or toddler riding for free, the second infant or toddler will be half price. Thanks for your understanding, wish we had more seats.

Sorry we cannot provide ground transportation to and from the cruise ship, we don’t have enough employees at this time. You can take a taxi from the ship, or an uber I believe. It is only a 5 to 7 minute drive up the hill. Should be easy to get to us. If there is any problem you can also call us. 808-635-0815, we can try to help.
