We moved to Kauai in 1995, brought Carter who had just turned 6 and Mary who had just turned 4. It was such an odd and unusual place for me for many years, the landscape, the scenery, and the plants, were all unidentifiable. At first. But then it began, slowly over time, to become our home, our place, and I know now I will never leave. I love to travel, I grew up at the National Geographic Society where my father was a Senior Editor, so yes, I love to travel and will, hopefully, make many more trips to see the world. And then come home, to Kauai, always. Aloha, Ellen
